About this Mod

Player Only Mob Loot changes how mob drops work.

Mob loot will only drop if a player was involved in damaging the mob, or if the kill comes from specific vanilla mechanics.

Allowed cases:

player damages a mob and it later dies from fall damage, fire, etc.
a tamed wolf kills a mob
a skeleton kills a creeper
a charged creeper produces a mob head

All other deaths (environmental damage, mob vs mob fights, automated farms) will not produce loot, equipment drops, or experience.

How to Install Player Only Mob Loot on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set neoforge Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the neoforge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Player Only Mob Loot". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
