I try to keep support up for the latest drop of Minecraft. Updates to newer Minecraft
versions may be delayed from time to time, as I do not always have the time to immediately update my mods.
Unsupported versions are still available to download, but they won't receive new features or bugfixes.
NeoForge ports are available for Minecraft 26.1 onwards.
Usage
The Fabric API is required on Fabric. The mod can be installed on servers without having to be installed on clients.
The mod works with so-called "particle slots", which you can configure with particles.
It adds a simple command, /playerparticles, which can be used to configure your particles:
/playerparticles off- turns your particles off./playerparticles on- turns your particles on./playerparticles reset- resets your particles in all slots./playerparticles <slot> <particle|reset> <particle data>- sets a particle in one of your slots, or resets it.<particle data>is only necessary for a some particles.
/playerparticles disable-all- disables rendering all (yours and others) player particles for you. Useful when player particles are laggy for you./playerparticles enable-all- enables rendering all (yours and others) player particles for you./playerparticles interval <interval>- configures the rate at which player particles appear. Use higher values to slow down the rate.- By default, the interval is specified in ticks, append
sto specify in seconds, e.g.5sfor 5 seconds.
- By default, the interval is specified in ticks, append
At the moment, 3 particle slots are available:
above- displays above you.around- displays around you.below- displays below you.
Permissions
The /playerparticles command requires the playerparticles.command permission, or operator level 2.
Since version 0.2.6, each slot requires the playerparticles.<slot name> permission (or operator level 2) to be modified.

Server lagging with Player Particles – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Player Particles consumes the most tick time.
