About this Mod

a babric mod restoring skins to beta minecraft

the mod features the following:

  • restoring player skins so that you don't have to be steve
  • restoring player capes
  • adding slim model functionality to the game
  • adding the second skin layer to the game

if you prefer to not have the extra features (capes, slim models, and 2nd skin layer), you can disable those in the config :)

note: this mod was only tested on b1.7.3. use on other versions at risk of crashing.

How to Install Player Skins on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set babric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the babric loader and matching Minecraft version (b1.8.1).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Player Skins". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Player Skins server crashes on startup – what to do?
