About this Mod

After some work on Furenikus Roads Port, I present to you the Portable Grass Mod! This mod, as described, lets you bring grass blocks from other biomes to whichever biome you are in. This mod makes ugly grass shades a thing of the past! Now, even if you're in an ocean, a swamp, or a desert, you can still experience the luscious green shades of jungles, plains and forests.

This mod has all 22 variants of grass that naturally spawn throughout the biomes in the game, and can be crafted using the Google Docs crafting guides, with JEI compatibility added in release 1.1.

How to Install Portable Grass on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set forge Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.6).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Portable Grass". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Portable Grass server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.6). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Portable Grass consumes the most tick time.
