Potion Addon expands Minecraft by making all vanilla status effects available as brewable potions.
About this Mod
Potion Addon expands Minecraft by making all vanilla status effects available as brewable potions.
With this mod, you can now drink effects that were previously hard or impossible to get as potions, such as:
Dolphin’s Grace – obtained using the rare Dolphin Fin
Hero of the Village – brewable with a Block of Emerald
Blindness – brewable with a Block of Coal
Mining Fatigue, Nausea – new brewable variants
Luck, Unluck, Absorption, Health Boost, Saturation, Levitation – now available as potions
Each effect can be brewed in short or long durations. The mod also adds new items, such as the Dolphin Fin, which is very rare and required for special potions.
💡 Features:
Every vanilla status effect is now available as a Potion, Splash Potion, or Lingering Potion.
Exceptions: Some effects, like Breath of the Nautilus or Raid Omen, are not available as potions due to being too similar to existing effects or having special game mechanics.
Rare items like the Dolphin Fin drop only from player-killed dolphins, including Looting bonus.
Potions are balanced, some very short in duration to avoid being overpowered in PvP or Survival.
Brewing recipes are logically tied to their items, e.g., Blindness with Block of Coal.
You can view all brewing recipes in-game using a mod like JEI (Just Enough Items), which shows crafting and brewing recipes conveniently.
