About this Mod

⚠️IMPORTANT⚠️

This mod requires Fabric API.

Mod Description

Ever wanted every projectile to have a particle trail effect behind it? Then you came to the right place!

Projectile Trails is a simple client-sided Minecraft mod for the Fabric Loader, that adds configurable/toggleable trails to ANY Minecraft projectile (Arrows, Firework Rockets, Ender Pearls, Snowballs, Eggs, e.t.c), adding a nice visual effect to projectiles. Here are the commands that change the trails' particle, and toggle the mod ON/OFF:

Change Particle Type:

/setprojectiletrailparticle (some particle examples: flame, crit, cloud).

Toggle Mod ON or OFF:

/toggleprojectiletrails

A list of Minecraft particle IDs (for the placeholder in command), can be found here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Projectile Trails server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.19.3). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Projectile Trails compatible with fabric?

Projectile Trails officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.19.3. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Projectile Trails – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Projectile Trails consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
