About this Mod

A simple mod to "properly" modify mobcaps

This mod just modifies SpawnGroup enum getters to get the values from config instead. 100% Without magic.

Works on both client and server, not required on client.

Configures for each spawn group:

Mob cap
Despawn start range (the 300s one) (aka 5 min)
Immediate despawn range
Is peaceful?
Is rare? (20s spawn cycle)

How to Install Proper Mobcap Modifier on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.4).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Proper Mobcap Modifier". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
