ProtoSky
Removes (almost) all blocks from the world after they generated
About this Mod
Overveiw
This mod is intended to provide you a world in which you can play "vanilla" skyblock in the style of the ProtoTech server.
It deletes (almost) all blocks and entities in the world after they generated.
This is done so that the world keeps all structure bounding boxes in their original position.
Some Blocks and Entities are kept:
- End Portal Frames in Strongholds (to enable getting to the end)
- Obsidian Pillars and End Crystals (since they regenerate anyway)
- Exit End Portal (vanilla would generate it below y-level 0)
- Shulkers and Elytra Item Frames in End Cities (since we thought they would be fun!)
Keep in mind that this mod itself doesn't generate any starting blocks! You need to place those yourself.
It also doesn't set your world spawn in your nether, you can set your spawn point in the nether yourself,
but this will have to be redone whenever you use a bed or respawn anchor.

ProtoSky server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 4 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is ProtoSky compatible with fabric?
ProtoSky officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.20.1, 1.20, 1.19.4. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with ProtoSky – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 6 GB (per 5 players). Use /spark profiler to check if ProtoSky consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
