About this Mod
⏸️ QuietPause
Give your multiplayer server a real pause button.
Someone needs to answer the door, change their settings, grab some food, or take a quick break?
QuietPause lets you pause the entire game without shutting down the server or allowing other players to continue progressing.
It is designed for private SMPs, co-op worlds, manhunts, minigames, and friend groups.

Safe resume
- Underwater players are protected during the pause
- Gameplay resumes with a safe 5-second countdown
- Everything continues from where it stopped once the pause ends
⚙️ How does it work?
QuietPause creates a server-wide pause by freezing gameplay entities and blocking actions that could progress the game.
🎮 Commands
Pause or resume the game
/f
or:
/p
Both commands toggle the server-wide pause.
When the game is resumed, QuietPause starts a safe 5-second countdown before gameplay continues.
Allow everyone to pause
/quiet f public
In public mode, every player can pause the game. Only the player who started the pause or an administrator can resume it.
Restrict pausing to administrators
/quiet f admin
In admin mode, only server administrators can pause or resume the game.
Changing the access mode requires operator access. On Paper, this permission can also be granted using:
quiet.pause.admin
