About this Mod

Those cute little creatures filled with sillyness are waiting for you to play with !

Spawn

You can found raccoons in all forest biomes. If you're lucky, you even can encounter a chonky raccoon !

A chonky raccoon with a medium sized raccoon

Don't even try to attack them or they will get mad at you !!

Interactions

Both raccoon types are tameable with apples. You can also change the color of their bandana with dyes.

With wheats, stick and black stained glass panes, you can craft hat and glasses. By clicking on your raccoon, they will make it very stylish ! (Removable by sneaking)

Raccoons are very hungry (or they just really likes food), you can feed them with any food item, they will love it ! But be careful, don't feed them too much...

Also, they will try to steal inside your trash cans (if you have Trash Cans installed too) or in your composter ! However, they're gonna make you forget that by dancing near a jukebox !

By the way, do you know Pedro the raccoon ? Maybe you could encounter it...

Raccoonmaninov

If you feel lonely at night, you can craft Raccoonmaninov by combining seven gray wools and two red wools. This raccoon plush with a cute red hood will keep you company !

Frequently Asked Questions

Raccoon server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Raccoon compatible with fabric?

Raccoon officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Raccoon – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Raccoon consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
