About this Mod

What does this mod add?

This mod introduces infinite ore veins that gradually generate ore. These veins are scattered around the overworld's surface in variety of different shapes like trees or monuments (check the gallery for some examples of them).

Additionally this mod adds a monocle item that guides you to the nearest infinite vein when equipped.

The intention of this mod is to encourage players to set up transportation logistics throughout the world such as trains or ice boat tunnels.

In total this mod adds 9 infinite veins:

  • 3 small veins
  • 3 common veins
  • 3 rare veins

Is this mod incompatible with any other mods?

While this mod is likely compatible with other mods, there are a few that may impact your experience:

  • Biome generation mods can make infinite veins from this mod rarer.
  • Mods like Waystones mod can make transportation too easy, destroying the intention of this mod.

For information on adding new ore veins refer to the README in mod's Github repository.

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 4 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Rail World officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Rail World – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 6 GB (per 5 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Rail World consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
