About this Mod
General
The goal of this mod is to allow you to display the distance between you and the enemy player/mob + see from how far your hits reached them. It's useful information that allows one to control combo distances and align look angles to optimise the distance. Everything — text size, color, placement, shadow, decimal places — is configurable.

The mod (as of 2.0.0) has 3 different displays:
Distance
Displays the distance from your eye to enemy hitboxHit Distance
Displays the distance of your last hitAverage Hit Distance
The average of either last X hits or local/global session hit distances

Reach Display server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Reach Display compatible with fabric and quilt?
Reach Display officially supports fabric, quilt for Minecraft 1.21, 1.20.6, 1.20.5. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Reach Display – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Reach Display consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
