About this Mod
A little pvp training utility mod.
This mod is a lightweight utility mod to aide in your pvp training. Use this to train your distancing (aka. hit distance, spacing, hit reach) during pvp.
It puts a little number under your crosshair to tell you the distance of every hit you make upon an entity. THIS IS THE REAL HIT DISTANCE. NOT THE DISTANCE BETWEEN YOU AND THE TARGET. Its calculated by taking the distance from the position of your eyes, which is in the middle of the front surface of your head, to the position of the point in space where your line of sight intersects with the target hitbox.
Tip: teh hitbox is square and doesnt rotate meaning you actually get more reach if you strafe and hit the opponent at the corner of their hitbox.
If the distance is under 3 blocks, the number turns yellow to let you know you hit them. If the distance is over 3 blocks, the number turns red to let you know you missed. Also the number rounds down a little bit, so the farthest you can be and hit them is 2.99 blocks away according to this mod. 3.0 is a miss.

ReachDisplay server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is ReachDisplay compatible with fabric?
ReachDisplay officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.11, 1.21.10, 1.21.9. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with ReachDisplay – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if ReachDisplay consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
