Reading Enchanted Books

This DataPack enables you to read Enchanted Books, as if they were written books! To read an enchanted book, just hold down right-click. These books are filled with mysterious unique texts... The Text inside an enchanted Book

Enchanted Book copying

You can also copy enchanted books, by using a new recipe in the crafting table! All you need is the enchanted book you want to copy and a book and quill. (Note: Minecraft forces you to use the recipe book to copy the book for some reason.) The crafting recipe for copying an enchanted book
To use this new book, you need to pay a specific amount of levels, dependent on the amount of enchantments the book has. If you have enough levels, right-click the book, whilst it is in your mainhand. This will unlock it. The cost to unlock a enchanted book

How to Install Readable Enchanted Books on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set datapack Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the datapack loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.8).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Readable Enchanted Books". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Most common cause: wrong datapack version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.8). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
