Realistic Tree Behaviour

Realistic Tree Behaviour

Realistic Tree Behaviour makes trees fall with physics + sounds, clearing foliage they hit, and bouncing slightly before settling back into blocks. It keeps the tree intact during the fall for a more natural, realistic yet vanilla feel.

About this Mod

Download on Modrinth Download on CurseForge

Realistic Tree Behavior makes tree-felling feel heavy and alive. Chop an upright tree with an axe and the whole tree tips in the direction you are facing, falls as one piece with physics, bounces on impact, clears nearby foliage, and settles back into blocks. Impact sounds and a brief camera shake sell the weight of the fall without changing core gameplay flow.

Highlights

  • Trees fall as intact structures with physics-style motion
  • Directional falling based on where you are looking
  • Impact sound plus camera shake on landing
  • Foliage gets cleared if the tree collides with it
  • Tree settles and re-places back into blocks after falling

How It Works

  • Triggers when an upright log is broken with an axe
  • Scans nearby logs and leaves to ensure it is a proper tree
  • Uses a custom falling tree entity for motion and collision
