About this Mod
Neoforge 1.21.1 port of Coloured Tooltips by Darkhax.
This mod lets you configure the colour of all item and GUI tooltips in the game. You can do this through the config file found in your Minecraft folder, under
config/recolouredtooltips.json
This config file has three entries: "borderStart" for the top border of the tooltip, "borderEnd" for the bottom border, and "background" for the background. Colours are automatically blended between the top and bottom border.
The colours are entered via an ARGB hex string, which is like a normal hex string, but prefaced with two extra characters to define transparency, amounting to eight characters in total.
To learn more about hex colours, or to help you on your way for your tooltips, check out my recommended online colour pickers here or here.
Please do not send bug reports or other complaints to Darkhax.

Recoloured Tooltips officially supports neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Recoloured Tooltips – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Recoloured Tooltips consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
