About this Mod

Red's Survival Overhaul

Description

Red's Survival Overhaul is a mod that aims to make Minecraft harder in every way. Through a variety of features and config options, you can elevate your hardcore Minecraft experience to a new level.

Features

Temperature

  • Temperature changes with things such as surrounding blocks, biome, time of day, elevation, armor, and more.
  • When your temperature is too low or too high you will get hypothermia / heat stroke.
  • Makes the nether much harder (VERY hot) and the end much harder (EXTREMELY cold).
  • Adds a gauge to the hotbar that will show you your temperature.

Environment Nerf

  • Crop growth speed is fully configurable and scalable with difficulty.
  • Animal breeding cooldown as well as baby growth speed is also configurable and scalable with difficulty.
  • Chicken egg laying cooldown is configurable and scalable with difficulty.
  • Nerfs bone meal depending on difficulty.
  • Adds a passive exhaustion to the player so that you can't just AFK.

Food Nerf

  • Adds a global hunger multiplier scaling on difficulty.
  • Overrides all food values to be normalized and far less.
  • Adds a food history system preventing you from eating the same food more than a few times in a row.

Health Nerf

  • Adds a variety of debuffs when you're at low health or hunger.
  • Prevents death resets by modifying respawn health and hunger.
  • Prevents the player from dealing knockback when at low health.

Config

  • General config values are in the standard config folder in the forge config files
  • There are also more specific JSON files that allow more configurability.
