About this Mod

Reef Decor

Reef Decor aims to add decorational blocks, which you can craft out of coral blocks and prismarine blocks, as well as some extras. Currently, Reef Decor adds Coral Bricks, Coral Pillars, Polished Coral Blocks, Coral-Infused Prismarine, Smooth Prismarine, and a new block called Purple Shell.

All blocks have simple recipes:

  • For Coral Bricks, simply put 4 Coral Blocks in a Crafting Table in a 2x2 pattern;
  • For Coral Pillars, simply put 2 Coral Bricks in a Crafting Table in a 2x1 pattern;
  • For Polished Coral Blocks, simply put 4 Coral Pillars in a Crafting Table in a 2x2 pattern;
  • To craft a Purple Shell, you'll have to search through Suspicious Sand and Ruined Structures in Warm Oceans, as well as look into Shipwrecks - Once you get 9 Shell Fragments, put them together in a Crafting Table to get the Shell;

We might have some future content for Reef Decor planned, so stay tuned!! ^_^

Frequently Asked Questions

Reef Decor server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Reef Decor compatible with forge?

Reef Decor officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Reef Decor – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Reef Decor consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
