Resident Healing
This mod adds Resident Evil styled herbs and mixed herbs, along with RE: Requiem's Steroids (permanent health boost).
About this Mod
I want to be very upfront about the fact that this mod was INITIALLY made with a lot of help from Google Gemini. The textures and language files are my own, but the code was made with quite a bit of help. I've done testing to make sure it's bug free, and it seems to work perfectly. However, if you dislike the use of AI in coding, I'd rather you dislike my mod instead of being lied to by me. I plan on relearning modding fully soon, to reduce usage of AI. The more I update this mod, the less AI gets used.
Gonna remake this from the ground up to be a 26.1.2 multiloader mod, while also trying to figure out how to make loot generation configurable. That is going to take a while, and might end up becoming a new github project just to make gradle behave.
Resident Healing adds the following items:
- Green Herb (Heals 2 hearts of health.)
- Red Herb (Multiplies the effects of other herbs.)
- Blue Herb (Cures Poison and Nausea.)
- Mixed Herbs (Variable effects depending on the herbs you combine.)
- Empty Injector (Crafting ingredient.)
- Steroids (Permanently boosts max health by 5 hearts when used. You can use a maximum of 2 to have 20 hearts of health. This buff survives death!)
Mixed Herbs are obtained by combining 2-3 herbs together with Paper in any 2x2/3x3 crafting grid. Recipe is shapeless.

Resident Healing server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Resident Healing compatible with fabric?
Resident Healing officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Resident Healing – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Resident Healing consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
