SafetyNet
Give individual players mob protection, keep inventory on death, and instant respawn with simple commands.
About this Mod
Safetynet
I play on a hardcore world with friends. One of us dies more often than the rest, and we still wanted to keep hardcore on for everyone without turning the whole world into normal survival or making revives obvious.
Safetynet is a small server mod that lets you turn on extra help for one player or multiple. The world stays hardcore. (or Normal you don't need to have a Hardcore World) Other players are unchanged. You don’t need to install anything on other people’s games only the server (or your singleplayer world) needs the mod.
What it does
| Feature | What players notice |
|---|---|
| Mob ignore | Mobs stop attacking that player. |
| Keep inventory | They keep their items when they die. |
| Immediate respawn | No death screen they come back right away. In hardcore they respawn normally instead of becoming a spectator. |
| “Woke up” messages | With immediate respawn on, chat says things like “Alex woke up from being blown up by a Creeper” instead of a normal death message so it feels like they passed out and woke up, not that they “died” for good. |
Every option is a toggle: run the same command again to turn it off for that player.
Settings save across logout and death.

SafetyNet server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is SafetyNet compatible with fabric?
SafetyNet officially supports fabric for Minecraft 26.1.2. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with SafetyNet – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if SafetyNet consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
