About this Mod

This mod grants sheep a small armor bonus while they still have their wool. Shearing a sheep will remove the bonus until the wool has regrown. This extra armor can help your wooly friends survive longer against wolf attacks, stray arrows, and unexpected creeper blasts. By default they will have three armor points, which is the same as a leather chestplate.

Configuration

The config file will allow you to change the amount of armor given to sheep. Look in your config folder for the sheeparmor.json file after running the game at least once with the mod installed. The default value is 3.0 which is equivalent to a leather chestplate. For best results the value should be between 0 and 30.

How to Install Sheep Armor on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (26.1.2).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Sheep Armor". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Sheep Armor consumes the most tick time.
