About this Mod

What does this mod do?

In 1.21.5, Mojang fixed the long-existing bug that shield blocking and breaking sounds are only heardable by the blocker. This mod brings back that fix to earlier Minecraft version.

Install

Download the version matches your mod loader.
Put the jar file in your .minecraft/mods folder.
Please run with Fabric API if you are using Fabric loader.

Note: This mod registers event listeners on the SERVER SIDE. Therefore, if the server already has the mod installed, the client installation is not required.

How to Install Shield Sounds Backport on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.4).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Shield Sounds Backport". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
