Shotify aims to improve a largely forgotten about feature of the game: screenshots.

Taking a screenshot in vanilla Minecraft

Every time I take a screenshot, I then need to either navigate to the screenshot folder myself,
then copy it to my clipboard and send it where-ever I want. But sometimes, you can't even
embed the image in the chat, because it's too big, so you have to upload it to an image hosting
service.

Taking a screenshot using Shotify

I use a keybinding to take a screenshot, I get a preview of the screenshot, and I can
paste the automatically generated link to my chat. I can even share it to twitter!

Frequently Asked Questions

Shotify server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.18.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Shotify compatible with fabric?

Shotify officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.18.2. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Shotify – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Shotify consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
