About this Mod

This is a simple client side mod that displays the name of nametagged mobs without needing to look directly at the mob. Perfect for locating named mobs among other mobs or for taking screenshots of named mobs. Works in singleplayer and on servers!

Base Functionality

shows the name above the mob if the player has a direct line of sight to the mob
does not show names through blocks

How to Install Show Mob Names on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (26.1.2).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Show Mob Names". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
