About this Mod

Hold the hotkey (defaults to V) to preview the sign or the map you are looking at.

This mod is a client-only mod for Fabric. Fabric API is required.

A live demo of the mod

To change the max distance of previewing (defaults to 20 blocks), install Mod Menu AND Cloth Config API, open the config screen from the mod menu and change the settings (or manually edit the configuration file config/signpreview.json).

How to Install Sign Preview on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (26.1.2).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Sign Preview". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Sign Preview server crashes on startup – what to do?
