Simple Legacy Gamma is a mod that does exactly what it says it does, it recreates the gamma system from Minecraft Legacy Console under Java edition.

Why did I make this?

I liked using Legacy 4J, it was a fantastic recreation of Legacy Console Edition with many parts of it's UI feeling 1:1. And as good as it is, it breaks with servers like LEM, so I thought to myself that if I can't have all of Legacy 4J playing there, I could at least try to make a mod that recreates the gamma which would have made playing it feel so much more authentic... And so I did, and heres the mod!

How to Install Simple Legacy Gamma on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.4).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Simple Legacy Gamma". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
