Turret Block

This mod was a mod request via Willfurr's Series

A Mod that adds an automated, placeable turret block that defends your base against mobs — or players.

Features

Automated Defense

Place a turret and it will automatically detect and shoot hostile mobs within range. The turret uses line-of-sight raycasting, so placement matters — walls will block targeting.

Seven Targeting Modes

Cycle through targeting modes via the turret GUI:

• All Hostile (default) — targets any hostile mob
• Zombies / Skeletons / Creepers / Spiders
• All Mobs — any living entity except players
• Players — all players except the turret's owner

Fuel System

Turrets require fuel to operate, using a familiar furnace-style system:

Enchantment Books

Slot up to 3 enchanted books into the turret to enhance its arrows:

• Power
• Flame
• Punch
• Infinity — still requires at least 1 arrow

Each active enchantment produces animated spiral particles around the turret.

Soul Torch Range Boost

Place soul torches or soul lanterns within 8 blocks of the turret to extend its range. Each torch adds +5 blocks (base 20, max 40 with 4 torches). Connected torches create a visible particle funnel effect flowing into the turret.
