Create your cape on SkinMC. Wear it in-game with the SkinMC Mod.

Features

- Displays your SkinMC Minecraft Cape in-game in singleplayer and multiplayer
- Choose how capes are shown: SkinMC overrides default capes, default only, or SkinMC only
- Shift + right-click a player to open their SkinMC profile (optional, can be turned off)
- Works on both Fabric and NeoForge
Configuration
Settings are in Mod Menu (Fabric) or the mod list config button (NeoForge), under SkinMC Cape Settings. You can also edit config/skinmc_mod.json:

How to install it
The SkinMC Mod is available for Fabric and NeoForge. Pick the loader that matches your setup.
- Download the latest release from https://skinmc.net/p/mod (choose the Fabric or NeoForge version).
- Install a mod loader:
- Put the SkinMC mod
.jarfile into your Minecraftmodsfolder.
How to get a cape
- Go to https://skinmc.net
- Sign up / Sign in
- Link your Minecraft account via Microsoft
- Go to Account, then choose SkinMC Capes
- Select a cape .png file and hit upload and use
You can also create your own cape in the SkinMC Cape Editor.

How to Install SkinMC: Minecraft Capes on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.11).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "SkinMC: Minecraft Capes". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

SkinMC: Minecraft Capes server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
