About this Mod
Adds a momentum-based sliding mechanic to Minecraft.
Requirements
- Fabric: Fabric API
- Forge : Sinytra Connector + Forgified Fabric API
Features
- Omni-Directional Sliding: Move in any direction based on your WASD input, not just where you're looking. Back-sliding and side-sliding are fully supported.
- Velocity Inheritance: Your sliding power scales with your speed. Combine it with sprinting, falling, or even Elytra flight for massive momentum.
- Slide Jumping: Jumping between 0.2s and 0.4s after starting a slide carries your momentum for a longer, faster jump.
- Downhill Momentum: Sliding down slopes or drops slightly extends your slide duration.
- Activation Speed: Works at walking speeds (with less power) but is most effective while sprinting.
- Fatigue System: Each slide adds 20 fatigue (max 100). Higher fatigue reduces slide power. Recovers at 30 pts/sec.
- Boosted Slide: When fatigue is 0, your next slide gets a speed boost but costs 40 fatigue.
- Entity Knockback: Colliding with mobs or players during a slide deals knockback based on your current velocity.
- Tactical Hitbox: Your hitbox shrinks to 1 block high during a slide, allowing you to pass through narrow gaps.

Slide! server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Slide! compatible with fabric and forge and neoforge?
Slide! officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.11, 1.21.1, 1.20.1. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Slide! – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Slide! consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
