About this Mod
Slime Golems
A Forge Mod
Simply place 2 slime blocks one on top of the other, then cap it off with a melon. Wow, who'd have thought?
To create a Rocky Slime Golem, right-click a Slime Golem with cobblestone
Features:
- Makes slime easily farmable
- Slime Golems lay 1-thick slime layers when moving
- Slime layers can be broken by hand for slimeballs
- Add to slime layers by right-clicking them with slimeballs, layers function like snow layers
- Regular Slime Golems target hostile mobs and hit for 0 damage but apply strong Slowness for a short period of time
- Rocky Slime Golems deal 1.5 hearts of damage to anything hit by it's attack, in addition to the Slowness
- Slime layers between 2 and 8 layer tall function just like slime blocks- bouncy and slowing
- An 8-layer slime layer can be right-clicked with a final slime ball to turn it into a full, vanilla slime block
- Shearing a melon off a Slime Golem yields melon slices
Version differences:
- 1.15.x: Slime golems take damage in the rain, no configs, no Rocky Golems
- 1.16.x: Configs for weather damage, slime layer placing, and the addition of Rocky Golems (also configurable)
- 1.18.x: Added creative spawn egg
- 1.19.0: No changes
Configurability:
Can disable Rocky Golems. If Rocky Golems existed in the world, they will still look like Rocky Golems but they will not deal damage, however, you cannot create new Rocky Golems. If re-enabling it later, existing Rocky Golems will once again be able to deal damage. (TL;DR, rocky golem state is preserved but damage and creation is conditional)
Can enable Hurt by wet. Water, rain, or bubble columns will harm any exposed Slime Golems
Can enable Conditional slime layers. All Slime Golems will only lay slime layers in Swampy Biomes or Slime Chunks. This does not change their aggression behavior.
Future plans/concepts/ideas:
Please note, these are simply ideas I've had and may never be implemented
- Slimy Iron Golems
- Slime golems heal each other
- Throwable slime weapon
- Slime turrets
- Honey golems? Probably best as a separate mod.
