About this Mod

Adds two new bear mobs to Minecraft.

Grizzly Bear

Spawns in warm taiga biomes
Neutral mob that can become hostile when provoked
Drops Bear Skin (0–2, affected by Looting)

Panda Bear

Spawns in jungle biomes
Replaces vanilla pandas

The mod was originally made for the SoftWind modpack, but can also be used standalone.

Bear stats and behavior can be configured in softwindbears-common.toml.
Spawn rules are defined via biome modifier datapack JSON and can be overridden with a datapack.

How to Install SoftWind Bears on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set neoforge Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the neoforge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "SoftWind Bears". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
