About this Mod

Solute Collection

Solute will not be updated anymore after 1.21.11, its features will be split off into separate mods which you can find in the Solute Collection.

Solute banner

Solute was started as a mod to add small QOL features for my own SMP. This slowly grew out to a full on vanilla plus mod that can be used on its own to improve the base game by just a nudge, while still allowing players to connect with vanilla clients.

Modules

The mod is split up in modules which can all be turned on and off on demand from in-game and/or a config file.

A few of the prominent modules are:

  • Bed speed up time when sleeping and show the day count
  • Copper Golem golems can put music discs in jukeboxes
  • Ladder ladders can be supported from above
  • Lava cobblestone generators generate different blocks based on their biome and height
  • Purpur redstone powered purpur blocks become elevators

For all modules, read the docs

Frequently Asked Questions

Solute server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Solute compatible with fabric?

Solute officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.11, 1.21.10, 1.21.9. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Solute – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Solute consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
