About this Mod
The SpeechToSpell fabric-mod adds multiple spells from the Harry-Potter-universe to Minecraft. Using speech-recognition the spells can be cast by saying them out loud while using a wand or by using the spell-hotbar.
Getting started:
Craft the Wand Maker
The Wand Maker can be crafted using one amethyst crystal, five wooden planks of any type and three warped stems arranged in the following manner:
Craft the Crimson Wand
The Crimson Wand can be crafted in the Wand Maker putting one crimson plank in the wood slot and one string in the core slot:
Cast a Spell
To cast a spell say it out loud while holding right click with the wand:
The spell-hotbar
Press N to open the GUI to configure wand's spell-hotbar: Here are all implemented spells listed.
Press R to cycle through the spell-hotbar and G to cast a spell.
Wand Display
The Wand Maker can be used as a display for wands:
A Guide To Magic
In the "A Guide To Magic"-Book which can be crafted using one amethyst shard and one book, all spells and their function are listed

How to Install SpeechToSpell on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "SpeechToSpell". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

SpeechToSpell server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is SpeechToSpell compatible with fabric?
SpeechToSpell officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.20.1, 1.20, 1.19.3. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with SpeechToSpell – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if SpeechToSpell consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
