Spread Spawnpoints
Spread all new players around the world in various ways
About this Mod
Spread Spawnpoints
A mod for Minecraft to spread players' initial spawnpoints around the world separating them from eachother.
Usage
There are several patterns for how new players' spawnpoints are determined:
| name | identifier | description |
|---|---|---|
| Vanilla | spreadspawnpoints:vanilla |
Mimics vanilla behavior, everyone spawns at world spawn. |
| Random | spreadspawnpoints:random |
Picks a completely random spawnpoint within specified bounds. |
| Grid | spreadspawnpoints:grid |
Spawnpoints are arranged in a grid in a spiral-like pattern. |
| Spring | spreadspawnpoints:spring |
Picks a random spawnpoint that is at least within a specified amount of blocks of another spawnpoint, but at least some specified blocks away from any other spawnpoint. |

Spread Spawnpoints server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 4 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Spread Spawnpoints compatible with fabric and forge and neoforge?
Spread Spawnpoints officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge for Minecraft 1.20.1, 1.20. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Spread Spawnpoints – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 6 GB (per 5 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Spread Spawnpoints consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
