About this Mod
A mod that aims to make zombies a more central and challenging part of the game by increasing their spawn rates, removing other hostile mobs, and introducing new infection mechanics.
Perfect for enhancing the zombie experience without needing to install multiple separate mods and without losing Minecraft’s vanilla atmosphere.
FEATURES:
- Relentless Undead Hordes:
Zombies now spawn at a significantly higher frequency, even in broad daylight.
They are completely immune to sunlight, meaning nowhere is truly safe anymore. - The Only Remaining Threat:
Other classic hostile mobs like Skeletons, Spiders, Creepers, and Endermen no longer spawn.
To ensure you can still collect essential resources, zombies may occasionally drop items that are typically gathered from the absent mobs. - Infection Mechanic:
Each zombie attack has a chance to infect the player, reduced by the quality of their armor.
Once infected, the player will eventually turn into a zombie, retaining whatever they had equipped. - Expanded Arsenal:
New vanilla-style weapons to broaden the combat variety, all craftable in survival mode.
CONFIGURATION:
Some of the mechanics can be customized through gamerules
- additionalZombieSpawnRate (default = 10):
The higher this value, the more frequently zombies will naturally spawn.
If set to 0, zombies will follow the standard hostile mob spawning rules, meaning they will only appear during nighttime. - onlyZombies (default = true):
If enabled, skeletons, spiders, creepers, endermen and slimes will be replaced by zombies when spawning. - zombieSunlightImmunity (default = true):
If enabled, zombies will not burn in the sunlight. - doInfection (default = true):
If enabled, zombies can infect players when attacking. - doInfectionCure (default = true):
If enabled, the zombie infection can be cured by eating a Golden Apple (enchanted or not).
