State

A land claim
The claim owner can allow players to build or ban players from entering

Statemaker

A block that, when placed, creates a state
Comes in 13 variants
Interacting opens a menu to load chunks and players from notepads

Notepad

An item to mark players and chunks for you states
When right-clicked, saves the chunk
When right-clicked on a player, saves the player

Stateleporter

An item to teleport to your state
Right-click a statemaker to save the position, then shift-right-click to teleport back
Can be disabled with a gamerule

How to Install States on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set quilt Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the quilt loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "States". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

States server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong quilt version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
