About this Mod
Overview
In vanilla, a timer begins counting up when an entity steps into powder snow. After a certain threshold is passed, the entity begins taking frost damage (and the timer immediately begins counting down upon exiting).
With this mod, attacks from certain entities now instantly add to this freeze timer. Cold damage from cold-related mobs can now be a reality!
In addition, playing with the Feathers mod forces players to also acquire that mod's Cold effect (which prevents recharging stamina) upon accumulating any frost.
Config
- Strays, snow golems, and snowballs accumulate frost ticks. Individually configurable.
- Obtaining frost damage from entities lets the timer accumulate over the typical maximum freeze tick count. Hence, a configurable extra "freeze cap" has been added on top.
- Stray arrows no longer deal Slowness.
- Stray arrows now emit snowflake particles (which dissipate quickly upon landing).
- Entities taking frost damage emit snowflake particles.
Entity Type Tags
stay_frosty:frost_damage_dealersis an extra entity type tag for modded mobs, should a modpack developer want them to deal frost damage.- [By default, this includes mobs like Chilled from Windswept and Froststalkers from Alex's Mobs.]
