About this Mod

This mod fixes MC-264285, a bug that resulted in Creepers destroying unbreakable interaction items when used to ignite them, like flint and steel.

Bug Details

In Minecraft you can use certain items like flint and steel to ignite a creeper. The vanilla code for this feature does not correctly check if the item is considered unbreakable, causing the item to be completely consumed. This mod adds the correct check in, and will prevent the item from being destroyed or damaged.

Varification

You can verify this mod has fixed the bug by spawning an unbreakable flint and steel and right clicking on a creeper while in survival mode to instantly ignite it. If the mod is installed and working correctly the flint and steel should not take any durability damage, and should not be instantly broken.

Note: You must test this while in survival mode. Players in creative mode are not affected by this bug as the game does not try to damage items for creative mode players.
