About this Mod

No more blowing your cover by accidentally uncrouching!

Subtle Name Tags makes name tags only render when:

close enough to the entity
looking in the general direction of the entity
there are no obstacles between you and the entity

All of the features are totally configurable by the client.

This aims to make nametag rendering a more deliberate and intentional thing rather than always being there cluttering your screen.

How to Install Subtle Name Tags on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set neoforge Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the neoforge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.4).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Subtle Name Tags". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
