About this Mod
SVDialog
SVDialog is a fork of the mod visual novel styled dialog mod VNDialog made for the modpack Society: Sunlit Valley's NPC update.
It offers options to structure dialogs closer to the game the pack is inspired by: Stardew Valley. Although this was made for the modpack, nothing is stopping you from using it in your own!
Changes and additions
- Inline portrait position that places the portrait of the dialog at the beginning of the dialog box
- Client config setting
Dialog box x-offset. This is needed to adjust the entire dialog to the right or left depending on the inline portrait offset or any other needed reasons. - Nameplate moved below inline portrait with a background
- Customized default UI

Why the fork?
VNDialog provides a very extensive config and data driven format, but the way Stardew Valley's dialog works is very specific. I don't want to interfere with the development of the original mod by continually submitting PRthat might not match the quality of the original mod.

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if SVDialog consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
