About this Mod

Take It

A simple mod that changes item pickup mechanics in Minecraft.

Features

  • 🚫 No Auto-Pickup - Stop picking up items accidentally just by walking past them.
  • 🖱️ Click to Pick - Right-click an item to pick it up.
  • ⌨️ Keybind Pickup - Press G (configurable) to grab all items within range.
  • ⚙️ Flexible Config - Customize the pickup radius (X, Y, Z) and toggle the mod features.

Configuration

The configuration file is located at config/takeit-common.toml:

  • enableMod - Enable/disable the mod.
  • radiusX/Y/Z - Pickup radius per axis (default is 2 blocks).

You can change the pickup key in the standard Controls settings.

Compatibility & Technical Details

Unlike similar mods (e.g., Click2Pick), TakeIt triggers the actual vanilla player pickup event rather than simply moving the item into the inventory.

This ensures full compatibility with mods that track item pickups, achievements, or statistics, such as Loot Journal and similar alternatives.
