This mod adds a tenth hotbar slot as a dedicated bare-hand toggle.
About this Mod
Ever found yourself frantically clearing out a hotbar slot just to free up your hands? Tenth Slot solves that instantly. It adds a permanent, always-empty tenth slot to your hotbar, giving you a dedicated bare-hand position that is always one keypress or scroll away. No more juggling items, no more accidental placements, no more interrupting your flow just to swing an empty fist. It fits seamlessly into the vanilla HUD as if it were always there, and stays completely out of your way until you need it.

Changing the Keybind:
- Go to Options → Controls → Key Binds
- Scroll to the "Inventory" category
- Click on "Hotbat Slot 10 (Tenth Slot)" and press your desired key (default: 0)
Mod Menu Settings:
| Show Only When Hotbar Is Full | When enabled, the tenth slot is only shown when all 9 hotbar slots are occupied |
| Vanilla Offhand Actions | When disabled, all offhand actions are blocked while the tenth slot is selected (placing blocks, eating, using items, etc.) |
| Vanilla Non-Item Right Click | When disabled, non-item right-click interactions are blocked while the tenth slot is selected (opening doors, mounting, trading, opening block GUIs, etc.) |
| Vanilla Left Click | When disabled, left-click interactions are blocked while the tenth slot is selected (attacking entities, breaking blocks) |

How to Install Tenth Slot on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (26.1.2).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Tenth Slot". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Tenth Slot server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Tenth Slot compatible with fabric?
Tenth Slot officially supports fabric for Minecraft 26.1.2, 26.1.1, 26.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Tenth Slot – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Tenth Slot consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
