About this Mod

Thanatos reworks the death system in a multiplayer-focused way. When a player dies, they are not presented with the death screen. Instead, they become a ghost that cannot interact with the world until they respawn using a keybind. There are several mechanics that interact with this system, such as the ability to see ghosts, possession, and the ability to temporarily prevent ghosts from respawning.

The source code is available in the sources jar attached to each version.

How to Install Thanatos on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Thanatos". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
