About this Mod
Think Before Drop
A mod which can prevent you from dropping rare items.
We will only update 1.20+ and other versions have stopped maintaining.
If you press Q to drop specific items (can be set up in the config gui), it will not drop them and ask you to press Q
again in a time limit to confirm dropping. The time limit also can be set up in the config gui and the default value is
0.5 - 5 seconds.
For 1.x version, require Malilib as dependency.
For 2.x version, Cloth Config is needed and open config screen with ModMenu.
For 3.x version (1.20+), Jupiter is needed and open config screen with ModMenu.

How to Install Think before Drop on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.10).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Think before Drop". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Think before Drop server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.10). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Think before Drop compatible with fabric and forge and neoforge?
Think before Drop officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.10, 1.21.9, 1.21.8. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Think before Drop – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Think before Drop consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
