Tickstopper
A simple mod that stops ticks on the server when there are no players on it.
About this Mod
I created this mod because I needed one like this. It is a simple mod that stops time on the server, i.e. Minecraft ticks. It works very simply:
- there is at least one person, time flows normally
- there is no person, time stops
I decided to share it and I think it will be useful to others as well, and I personally used it with the seasons mod :)

Tickstopper server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.5). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Tickstopper compatible with fabric?
Tickstopper officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.5, 1.21.4, 1.21.3. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Tickstopper – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Tickstopper consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
