Reintroduces Villager cure discount stacking.
About this Mod
This mod reverts the 1.20.2 changes to Zombie Villager curing, allowing you to once again stack curing discounts, up to 5 cures (the same as it used to be). Because you shouldn't simply decide something is a "bug" after 7 years. Make villagers grateful again!
Version 1.0.1 provides additional changes to zombification behavior, which means villagers that have been traded with will always be zombified when killed by a zombie, regardless of difficulty. This means you aren't forced to play on Hard difficulty just so you can safely get villager curing discounts. (In vanilla, villagers will always or sometimes (respectively) just die when killed by a zombie on Easy or Normal difficulty.)
If you do not want this additional tweak, please use version 1.0.0, which only includes the fix for cure discount stacking.
This mod is Server-Side only, meaning it can be used on a dedicated server without clients needing to have this (or any) mod installed. It can also be used in singleplayer.
Feel free to use this in your modpack or whatever else.

How to Install Ungrateful Villagers on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (26.2).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Ungrateful Villagers". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Ungrateful Villagers server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Ungrateful Villagers compatible with fabric and neoforge?

Server lagging with Ungrateful Villagers – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Ungrateful Villagers consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
