Usage Ticker implements a small interface tweak for Fabric that shows how many of the item or block in your main hand you have left in your whole inventory, next to your hotbar.

Total count of currently held item and object
- Displays a small counter next to your hotbar when you hold an item. This counter helps you know in real-time how much of this held item you have in your inventory, without the need of opening it nor using a calculator!
- The counter conveniently switches to the right-end side of the hotbar when you have an item in your off hand.
Usage Ticker was inspired by the feature of the same name in the Forge Quark mod.

Q: Where does the idea come from?
A: Originally, the idea was to port the feature of the same name from the Forge Quark mod.
Q: Can I use your mod in/for my modpack/datapack?
A: Please do! A credit would be appreciated in your modlist.
Simply do not appropriate yourself this mod.
Q: Will this mod ever come to Forge?
A: No! This mod is intended to push a little forward the Fabric community, and this is my choice to explicitly not make it available to another mod loader for the time being.
However, you can simply use Quark on Forge.
Q: Where can I find the source code of the project?
A: As of now, nowhere. This is a simple 2 lines code.

How to Install Usage Ticker on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Usage Ticker". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Usage Ticker server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Usage Ticker compatible with fabric?
Usage Ticker officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.1, 1.21, 1.20.4. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Usage Ticker – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Usage Ticker consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
