About this Mod
For suggestions, bug reports, and communicating to me, please use the Issues page instead of commenting - I don't read comments here often
This is my maintained (updated) fork of Ethius' viewmodel-changer. For more detailed information, visit the CyberFlameGO/viewmodel-changer GitHub repository. This mod is only functional on the client-side, but doesn't break anything by being on the server (hence being marked as optional)
Basic usage instructions:
- To use this mod, open the Viewmodel Settings menu - the default keybind is BACKSLASH ("\"), but this is configurable as of v1.10.3.
- Inside the settings menu, you'll see switches and sliders.
- For sliders, you can use either your mouse wheel to change the values or click on a specific spot and hope to get it right.
- For switches, just click on it to negate the value of that setting.

Viewmodel Changer server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Viewmodel Changer compatible with fabric?
Viewmodel Changer officially supports fabric for Minecraft 26.1, 1.21.11, 1.21.8. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Viewmodel Changer – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Viewmodel Changer consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
