IMPORTANT NOTES
- This mod uses
yt-dlpto download audio!- If you're on singleplayer, you must have
yt-dlpinstalled to use Vinyl. - If you're running a server with Vinyl, you must have
yt-dlpinstalled on the server, but it is not required for connecting clients.

- When used on a server, Vinyl will send audio files from server to client.
- If you trust the server host this should be completely fine. If not, this is something you should at least be aware of before you use Vinyl.
How to use
Put any music disc in a Blast Furnace to get a blank disc.
Right click with the disc in hand to set the name, artist, and URL to download from.
Add dye to colour the disc! (only one pattern supported at the moment, but I may add more)
Right click a Vinyl Press whilst holding the disc. When it's done pressing, right click again to take it out.
Enjoy your new custom music disc in a Jukebox! You can also use it as a Note Block sound by putting the disc in a chest
underneath the Note Block!

How to Install Vinyl on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set bta-babric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the bta-babric loader and matching Minecraft version (b1.7.3).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Vinyl". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Vinyl server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong bta-babric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (b1.7.3). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Vinyl compatible with bta-babric?
Vinyl officially supports bta-babric for Minecraft b1.7.3. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Vinyl – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Vinyl consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
