Vulpine
A small mod which adds fox taming and new fox variants
About this Mod
Vulpine
Vulpine is a small mod which adds tamable foxes (via domestication) and also adds new fox variations to the Overworld.
Fox Taming
Foxes can be tamed by breading them to eventually get a tamed variation. Basically every fox now has a number assigned to them representing their Tame Progress. When two foxes are bred, the fox with the lower Tame Progress value is then given to the offspring and incremented (e.x. two foxes with a Tame Progress value of 0 will have an offspring with a value of 1). These values range from 0 to 4, with 0 being completely wild, and 4 being completely tamed.
Fox Variants
New fox variants have been added, each spawning with different percentages and biomes, here's a table showing the different variants, where they spawn, and their probability of spawning:

Vulpine server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Vulpine compatible with fabric?
Vulpine officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.1, 1.20.1, 1.20. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Vulpine – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Vulpine consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
